Donation made in honor of service by employees

Photo-Check Presentation to GraceWorks - 1-14-16GraceWorks is the recipient of a Community Impact Grant from Capella Healthcare. Capella’s Community Impact Program was launched in 2015 to recognize the value of volunteer service – for employees, communities and the organization.

The $500.00 donation was presented in honor of volunteer service from a number of employees, including Cindy Goehring, Tammy Lovell, Peggy Richardson, Sherry Sanders, Kathy Van Horne and Jim Wiseman.

Receiving the check on behalf of GraceWorks was Brian Myers, Community and Church Relations Manager. Presenting the check was Carolyn Schneider, SVP-Human Resources, who serves on Capella’s Community Contributions Committee.

“We are grateful for Capella Healthcare’s donation,” said Kristi Sylvester, GraceWorks Development Director. “It is our mission to provide immediate and long-term resources to our neighbors in need. We are especially thankful for individuals who volunteer their time to help us in serving our friends and community.”

“I am so grateful that we have such generous employees who understand the importance of serving our communities,” said Carolyn Schneider, SVP-Human Resources. “I am especially proud that they choose to serve organizations like GraceWorks Ministries, who support low income families through their hunger prevention, family support services and educational programs.”

Capella’s Community Impact Program provides resources and incentives to empower employees to maximize their impact – through both giving and volunteer service – in the communities where they live and work based on their skills, interests and passions.

In the last year, Capella has co-sponsored and helped build a Habitat for Humanity house and served at the Nashville Rescue Mission among other activities. The corporate staff has also been recognized for their generous giving through The United Way of Williamson County with several awards, including “Best Campaign” and “Rising Star.”

About GraceWorks

GraceWorks was founded in 1995 when area concerned citizens and faith leaders came together and decided Williamson County needed a central place to send people who needed help with food, clothing and financial assistance. By pooling church resources with private and public sectors, GraceWorks provides more help for many needs to better serve our community, rather than duplicating efforts.
