Rodney Van Donkelaar joins River Park Hospital and Highlands Medical Center as Senior Chief Financial Officer
January 31, 2014McMinnville, TN. January 31, 2014. Rodney A. Van Donkelaar has been named Senior Chief Financial Officer for River Park Hospital (RPH), McMinnville, and Highlands Medical Center (HMC), Sparta, effective February 1, according to Robert Wampler, VP, COO/CFO-Hospital Operations for Capella Healthcare.
The two hospitals are both part of the Capella-Saint Thomas Upper Cumberland health system, which also includes DeKalb Community Hospital (DCH) in Smithville, and Stones River Hospital (SRH) in Woodbury. Van Donkelaar will work closely with RPH CEO Tim McGill and HMC CEO Bill Little as well as provide financial operations leadership for the system.
He is coming from Grandview Medical Center, Jasper, where he has served as CFO for the past three years. Van Donkelaar joined Capella in January 2006 as Controller of Willamette Valley Medical Center (McMinnville, OR). In 2008, he was promoted to CFO of Hartselle Medical Center in Alabama. He moved to Grandview in 2010.
Originally from Michigan, Van Donkelaar earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Accounting from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI.
