May 10, 2013Lawton, OK. May 6, 2013. Becker’s Hospital Review and Becker’s ASC Review have named Southwestern Medical Center to their annual list of “100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.” The hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers and physician groups included in this list offer robust benefit packages, positive work environments, excellent employee recognition programs and opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
The Becker’s Hospital Review and Becker’s ASC Review editorial teams accepted nominations for the 2013 list and selected recipients based on nominations and thorough editorial research.
“This national recognition is a testament to the team of professionals we have at Southwestern and the culture we have tried to instill over the last three years. I couldn’t be more proud of our entire organization,” said Steve Hyde, CEO.
According to Becker’s, among the initiatives that make SWMC a great place to work include:
- The hospital supports professional development of its employees, offering up to $5,000 annually for tuition reimbursement.
- The hospital works to ensure employees achieve a strong life-work balance, partnering with area businesses to provide discounts to country clubs, spas and gyms.
- Southwestern Medical Center works to instill its mission, vision and values in employees. When employees have worked between 90 and 120 days, they are invited to a “mission meal” with senior leaders to discuss their orientation and any concerns.
