Meredith P. Nelson Appointed Chief Financial Officer for Willamette Valley Medical Center
June 25, 2013McMinnville, OR (June 20, 2013) – Meredith P. Nelson, CPA, has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Willamette Valley Medical Center (WVMC), according to Dan Ordyna, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 24.
Nelson comes to WVMC from Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ, where she has been CFO since February 2011. Prior to that, she was at Andalusia Regional Hospital in Andalusia, AL, where she was part of the CFO Development Program with LifePoint Hospitals. She had previously worked at LifePoint’s corporate offices as Hospital Operations Controller for approximately five years. Before that she had worked in various leadership roles with HCA, including Manager of Financial Reporting for Physician Services and Financial Analyst.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Nelson earned her MBA at Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business in Nashville following completion of her undergraduate degree at Tulane University in New Orleans.
She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She and her husband, John who is a software engineer, will be moving to the McMinnville area shortly.
