Tim McGill Appointed Chief Executive Officer for River Park Hospital
February 6, 2012McMinnville, TN (February 6, 2012) – Tim McGill has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for River Park Hospital (RPH) by the hospital’s Board of Trustees and Capella Healthcare, effective February 20. The announcement was made jointly today by Jeff Golden, Chairman of the hospital’s Board of Trustees, and Mark Medley, President of the Hospital Division of Capella Healthcare, of which RPH is a part.

Our primary goal at River Park Hospital continues to be providing the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction, even as we focus on lowering the cost of care. I have great confidence in Tim’s ability to lead our hospital through the coming years.”

McGill comes to RPH from Decatur, AL, where he joined Capella Healthcare in September of 2008 as CEO of 120-bed Parkway Medical Center. The hospital experienced significant growth during his tenure, becoming the area’s leader in emergency care and women’s services. The hospital achieved national recognition during this time as well, being ranked in the Top 1% of hospitals, according to the Hospital Value Index, 2009-10, which ranked it 28th nationally among 4,500 hospitals for quality, efficiency, affordability and patient satisfaction. While in Morgan County, he also assumed responsibility for sister facility Hartselle Medical Center in 2010, which received a number of awards for its outstanding patient satisfaction scores.
Prior to joining Capella, he had spent the majority of his career in Tennessee, having served as CEO for 114-bed Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN for 15 1/2 years. While there, he led six hospital expansion projects and introduced a number of new services, including inpatient rehabilitation, gero-psychiatry, and a Level II Neonatal Nursery. He also served as CEO of Harris Hospital in Newport, AR, and Cleveland Community Hospital in Cleveland, TN, for four and a half years. While there, he assumed responsibility for the management of five facilities , all with Hallmark Healthcare Corporation, including White County Community Hospital in Sparta, now also a part of the Capella Healthcare family of hospitals. Prior to this, he was with HCA for seven years, serving as CEO for Enterprise Hospital & Nursing Home and as Assistant Administrator for Selma Medical Center, both in Alabama.
McGill earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, focusing on public health, from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
McGill is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Tennessee Hospital Association. He has been active with several Chambers of Commerce, serving as President of the Livingston/Overton County Chamber, as well as with Rotary International, having served as President of the Livingston club.

McGill and his wife Kathy will be moving to the McMinnville area in the near future. They have three children and one grandchild.
