Capella Healthcare Appoints Christina Patterson Vice President – Finance
December 21, 2010Franklin, TN – Capella Healthcare, Inc. announces the addition of Christina W. Patterson as Vice President – Finance, according to Denise W. Warren, Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With 15 years of experience in healthcare financial management, Patterson joined Capella in 2007 as CFO for River Park Hospital, a 125-bed facility in McMinnville, TN. Prior to that, she was CFO for Medical Center of Southern Indiana, a 96-bed facility in Charlestown, IN, and Controller for Vaughan Regional Medical Center, a 214-bed hospital in Selma, AL. Her experience also includes work in health care auditing and accounting. Patterson earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
The new role was created to assist the company as it prepares to begin filing quarterly reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2011 in conjunction with its recent public debt financing transaction. The transaction, which included $500 million in senior unsecured notes as well as a $100 million asset-based revolving credit facility, positioned the company for future growth while locking in attractively priced long-term funding. Patterson will work collaboratively with corporate finance, investor relations and hospital operations staff in helping to develop the processes required for public debt reporting, including SEC filing requirements, investor relations, acquisition due diligence, and other areas of finance, according to Warren.
